A Healing Practice Based in Science

Perth Kinesiology

Rachel Dhanjal | Anxiety Coach and Kinesiologist

There are a variety of healing practices on offer now, I have explored a lot of these over the last few years. Each comes with their own theories and is suited to different individuals. The one thing they all have in common is that they aim to help the recipient to move forward in their life with a clearer, more positive path. Recently I tried out Kinesiology.

I have been interested in Kinesiology for a long time, I originally enquired about it for my son to help him deal with social anxiety.

At the time, I never followed through with booking a session but it has remained on my radar and so it was that I headed off to Rachel Dhanjal’s Nedlands clinic on a Saturday morning with a feeling of being exactly where I was supposed to be.

I have experienced a range of healing modalities over the last 10 years including osteopathy, forensic healing, reiki, sound healing and intuitive healing. I have loved all of them and for me they form part of my self-care.

I never feel like one thing is going to “fix” me as I believe that true healing comes from within, but I do think that we can have experiences that open the pathways to healing and help improve our own realisations.

I was definitely open to the experience of Kinesiology.

There were several aspects that I found put Kinesiology apart from the other practices I have experienced. I felt like Rachel with her background in kinesiology, flower essences, nlp, hypnotherapy, pranic healing and coaching  has a very holistic approach with her sessions.

Kinesiology Review Rachel Dhanjal Nedlands WA

I won’t try and explain to you what Kinesiology is or how it is practiced because for me this really didn’t matter. I was happy to surrender to the process without trying to over analyse the theories behind it. I am very prone to being logical and analytical, so it was actually great for me to not be able to understand how Kinesiology too much.

If you want to understand Kinesiology more, you can find more information here on Rachel’s website.

Often, when I have been to other healing sessions there has been no discussion during the treatment, there has been a chat afterwards that provides an overview of the experience. But I found it really helpful that during the treatment Rachel would say “I am just going to read you this statement and tell me what it means to you” and these were the moments I had the most self realisation.

These points of self awareness weren’t just left as that, with the use of flower essences, acupressure and NLP strategies Rachel helped me work through these limiting beliefs and remove them from my programming.

This process isn’t just about guessing or reading some pre-prescribed scripts until you hit on one that resonates. Rachel uses muscle testing to find the right direction to take during the session and she tunes into your body and asks it to inform her what focus the session will have.

As the recipient I found the process extremely relaxing but not in the way you might find a massage relaxing.

There was a freeing kind of feeling as I left Rachel’s clinic, the ability to take responsibility for my own path and choices. I had much more clarity around the patterns I take in my life and how I can change this in order to live a more meaningful and intentional life.

Rachel told me that each person’s treatment plan is different, some people go for one session and that is enough whereas others may need 6 sessions. Either way she uses a very personalised approach that includes a variety of modalities. You can find out more about Rachel and her practice as well as booking your own session here.

  1. Perfect timing!

I started to study Kinesiology 16 years ago and then pregnancies overtook my life. It’s such a wonderful healing modality.
